iDiv is offering a post-doc researcher position on ecological connectivity as part of the Horizon Europe project NaturaConnect.
This position is funded by the Horizon Europe research project “NaturaConnect: Designing a resilient and coherent Trans-European Network for Nature and People”.
NaturaConnect aims to support the implemen- tation of the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, through an integration of interdisciplinary research and stakeholder engagements across scales and governance levels. This position will contribute to defining a blueprint for identifying multifunctional corridors important to enhance the connectivity and resilience of the European system of protected areas.
The successful candidate will develop a coherent framework for assessing and designing functional and structural connectivity at the European scale. The position is supervised by Dr. Néstor Fernández at the German Center for Integrative Biodiversity Research – iDiv. It is limited to 2 years with a possibility for extensions.
