EuropaBON is coordinated by the project coordinator Henrique Pereira, the scientific coordinator Jessica Junker, the senior scientist Miguel Fernandez, the administrative coordinator Annett Masur, web-designer Christian Langer at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU), as well as Camino Liquete from the Joint Research Council. The coordination team also includes Sigrid Köhne and Claudia Weinhold-Kiefhaber, who provide administrative and financial support from MLU’s EU-office.
Henrique Pereira

Henrique is Professor for Biodiversity Conservation at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv), and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). He oversees all scientific and administrative activities in EuropaBON.
Andres Marmol
Scientific Coordinator
Andres is a postdoc at the Biodiversity Conservation lab at iDiv/MLU. He manages and supervises all scientific activities in EuropaBON together with Henrique.
Miguel Fernandez
Senior Scientist
Miguel is a postdoc in the Biodiversity Conservation lab at iDiv. He is leading the Essential Biodiversity Variables Data Portal initiative that will serve as the main data hub for the geospatial information produced by EuropaBON.
Annett Masur
Administrative coordinator
Annett is the administrative assistant at the Biodiversity Conservation lab at iDiv/MLU and she stepping-in for Karolin during her maternity leave.
Christian Langer
Web-GIS Programmer
Christian is the web-GIS programmer at the Biodiversity Conservation lab at iDiv/MLU. He manages all webdesign and programming tasks of EuropaBON.
Camino Liquete
Communication
Camino is a scientific officer in the JRC’s’ Knowledge Management for Sustainable Development Unit, working in the development of the new EC Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity. She has twofold career as environmental researcher and as EU policy-maker. Her main fields of expertise in research were EU wide analyses of ecosystem services and green infrastructure, and the connection between hydrological and oceanographic processes.
Sigrid Köhne

Sigrid works at the MLU, EU-office and she belongs to the Project management support team of EuropaBON.
